De bovenkant is afgewerkt met een koeiehuid die in de loop der jaren zeer frai is verschoten en daardoor een fantastisch patine heeft. Laden lopen zeer soepel en in de beste kwaliteit eiken gemaakt. Afmeting 181,5 cm breed en 106 cm diep.

This quality library writing table was made by the famous cabinet maker, retailer who is known for the best quality library furniture of the mid 19th Century W Priest.
Information from Chistopher Gilbert, MARKED LONDON FURNITURE 1700 - 1840
William Priest established a furniture warehouse at no.17 and 24 Waterstreet, Blackfriars, in 1837, he also occupied premises at 23Great Charlotte street. The firm later moved to no 1 and 2 Tudor Street Blackfriars. The impressed mark "W PRIEST 17 & 24 WATER st BLACKFRIARS"has been recorded onnumerous pieces of furniture dating from 1800 - 1850, he also used the following trade label, W.Priests, office &Library Furniture Warehouse, 17 & 24 Water St Blackfriars, leading to the temple, office ,library & counting house, furniture & fittings of all descriptions. Houses furnished on low terms. it is clear that Priest stocked items of second hand furniture which were stamped with his name before being offered for sale. A high proportion of marked pieces are library tables, bookcases, reading chairs etc. indicating that, as his label states, he specialised in office and library furnishings, the same as "the Antique Warehouse is doing today.
