A lovely quality mahogany Globe Wernicke barristers bookcase. This example is the Rolls Royce of this particular style of bookcase, constructed using the finest mahogany with dentil moulding and acanthus carving to the cornice. Each of the sections having a bevelled glass up and over door, flanked by fluted pilasters. Having solid mahogany panelled ends and raised on a stepped base with a mahogany lined drawer and further acanthus carved detail retaining the original silver presentation plaque. English circa 1913
